After interviewing with several doctors throughout the east coast for my tubal reversal, we chose Dr Macey for his peaceful confidence and expertise. We flew to TN for my procedure. My tubes had been tied for 11 years, surgery was performed November 2021 and we were blessed with a positive pregnancy test December 2021. Baby is now 2! This is the only place I could find to try and tell this man and the world what he did for me. He acted like it was nothing. Just another days work but he gave me an entire life. I was his patient from when I moved here at 18 to age 35 (last year) when he stopped delivering babies. He became my doctor through referral after I was admitted into the emergency room at 18, two weeks after moving to Nashville with extreme bleeding. My family was called and told to make preparations for my death, because I had lost so much blood from ruptured cysts that they didn’t think I would make it through the night. That’s how Dr Macey became a doctor. Over the years, he dealt with my endometriosis, salpingitis isthmus nadosa , PCOS and He performed four surgeries on me to try to fix what he could, repair what he could, and give me the possibility of being a mother that he knew I was desperate for. I knew deep down it likely impossible. He just kept going, he didn’t stop trying and he didn’t ever tell me that it wasn’t going to happen and I needed to except that. As long as I trusted him to do another operation, he would keep trying. Over the years I came to except my infertility. That was until the last surgery he did on me. I woke up from anesthesia with my mom holding one hand and Dr. Macey holding the other. Even though I was coming out of a fog from surgery, he looked me straight in the eyes and said and said, “we fixed many things and I don’t see any reason why you cannot become a mother.” Two weeks later I met her father and 3 mo later, I found out I was going to have a baby. Against all odds, Dr Macey made me a mother. The only thing I ever wanted to be and the only thing I was sure would break me if I couldn’t be. She is almost 19 mo. now.  I lost her father while pregnant which makes me certain that God put dr Macey in my life to make the exact repair I needed before meeting her father so my Daughter could exist before he was gone too. This is more than a doctor, this man who listened to me and helped me from when I was an 18 year old girl until I was a 35 year old pregnant woman. He retired the year I became pregnant so I didn’t get the honor of having him deliver my child, but she is so perfect, dr Macey, and you gave her to me. Great doctor, nurse and receptionist. Been going to him for my annuals for a couple years now. Let’s me ask all my crazy questions and makes the experience as comfortable as possible. The fact that I just left my appointment and thought, “hey—how can I give them credit where credits due?” should be an indicator enough of the experiences I’ve had.
